We traveled to Israel in support of our friends.
We took a group of Passages alumni, staff, and donors who traveled to Israel’s border with Gaza to donate $500,000 to two communities that were brutalized by the October 7th Hamas attacks.
Netiv HaAsara and Kefar Aza are two moshavs (villages) on the border which were some of the hardest hit during the October 7th massacre. Passages’ alumni and friends, many of whom are Christian young adults with a passion for Israel, raised the funds after the war began. The donations will go towards psychological counseling for community members, as well as vocational training and helping these communities memorialize what happened on October 7th.
“These two communities have invited over 11,000 Passages students into their lives since 2016, educating them about what life in Israel is like,” said Scott Phillips, CEO of Passages. “We took this trip because our hearts are breaking with our Israeli friends in this incredibly difficult time, and we wanted to do what we can and show them they are not alone.”
